The person responsible for the finances is required to fill the necessary paper work with BFH.
Step 3: Contact the Cemetery
BFH will take care of plot allocation and payments for funeral costs.

Step 4: Prepare the Deceased for Burial
Advise the Funeral Director at BFH to pickup the body from home /or hospital for the Islamic burial (washing and funeral). A loaner casket (stored at BFH and owned by ICVA) is available for transportation of the body.
BFH provides facilities to wash the body. Usually family members wash the body with the help of some members of the community. Volunteers can be arranged by ICVA.
Materials Needed
Shroud: Shroud is available from ICVA.
Other Materials: Towels and washcloths, soap, shampoo, cotton and non-alcohol perfume.
BFH provides gloves, covering clothes, and masks, to protect those preparing the deceased's body.
Step 5: Funeral Prayer
Arrange with local Imam (Muslim Priest), the time and place for funeral prayer and burial services.
Step 6: Transport the Deceased
BFH transports the deceased's body from the funeral prayer to GMG cemetery for burial in Islamic Garden, section for Muslims established by ICVA.
Police escorts the funeral procession to GMG, to follow the procession keep your vehicle's headlights on.
Step 7: Burial
The body is placed in the grave on its side facing Mecca within a concrete vault. Everyone is encouraged to fill the dirt and make prayers for the deceased.
